Sunday Hotpot
Sunday lunch was prepared today by Marijus of Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Chicken and wild mushroom lovage hotpot with a salsa salad.
Tasted lovely.

Sunday Afters
The hotpot dish was followed by  a caramelised oranges with ricotta cheese pudding created by Marijus... very light and tasty.

Fish & Chips home cooked
Dinner at Mr& Mrs F was absolutely delicious plates of
fish and chips, cooked without assistance by Nigel from a famous recipe. It slipped down, along with the brandy that followed, just
like a girl I once knew who could use her head, but  who couldn't cook
like Nigel. Wonderful relaxed evening with good friends and beautiful
music.

Crispy Monday
After the gardening and the housework, Monday lunch was crispy bellypork ( part roasted in garlic then pan fried ) with a peas,
carrot and onion gravy with herbs and a glass of apple and raspberry
drink. Home cooking on the go.

Rare Find
Listened to this cd over a lovely breakfast of richmond sausages,
scrambled egg, potato and mushroom mixture (and fresh coffee).
Intriguing collection of evocative old and new tracks that made
me sigh with pleasure all morning.
I do wish I'd thought of the title before Nigel did.
Its very rare this cd, because it's the only one on this planet.

Interesting  Sounds
Picked up an interesting looking cd with the papers this morning.
Slipped it on in the car for the drive back home. Mmm.. cool..
Mind of a Woman? Apparently a chap called Nigel thought of the
title which came to him in a dream.

Snowed Under
Everything stops when it starts snowing in February. It took over
half an hour just to go and get the papers and crossword to do over
breakfast.

Sunday morning marmalade spread
Made a slight mistake with the reading matter for Sunday breakfast.
Got the wrong paper.Anyway, I'm sure most of us prefer to bend over
forwards rather than backwards to avoid a slipped disc.

Bird Gratitude
This misty morning. I am horrified to find that Edward The Eagle
who guards over the pond, has been pooed on by some flying creature
who dumped black shit all over him. What kind of ungrateful bird
did that? I asked myself. My garden is an a la carte restaurant for all
visiting wildlife - breakfast, lunch, dinner with wash and brush-up
facilities all provided.Obviously some greedy bird thought it was funny
to take a runny black dump after landing on Ed's head.

Sunday habit
Sunday morning without the sunday papers is like Monday night with a hangover.

Stumbras on Saturday
Its bitterly cold outside. After a hot breakfast of crumbled crispy roast potatoes scrambled in eggs with bacon and grilled cherry
tomatoes on fried bread, there's nothing like a shot of Stumbras
(Lithuanian delicately flavoured vodka) to warm you up while
checking tv listings in the paper. Most girls agree this is probably
the best way to start a Saturday.

Words of Wisdom for 2009

Hot Water
I've started to create home made humour cards. The obvious line eg;
'If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?'
has been avoided, with one that makes you think about your feet.
True love, after all, is a warm foot job on a cold night.
